Love His Appearing

Preparing Hearts and Minds for the Coming of the Messiah

Israel Part I: A Word about Prophecy

I was blessed recently with two weeks exploring the land of Israel with a few good friends who live there and a few good friends from America. We traveled from Jerusalem to the Sea of Galilee (pictured) and parts north. We also made it all the way down to Eilat and the Gulf of Aqaba and over to Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordon.

A few weeks before traveling to the Holy Land, I was asked if I would like to teach one evening at a Messianic Fellowship in Jerusalem that my friends attended. I agreed. The requested topic was Jerusalem in prophecy in the last days with an aim of encouraging the brethren there.

Finding scripture about Israel and Jerusalem in end times prophecy is not difficult to do. However, finding encouragement in the context of the last days proves a bit more difficult. In addition, I was asked to keep the length of the teaching to fifty minutes or less, which I initially thought was nigh on impossible!

Chapter 4 of The Power of His Might

Note: This is the fourth chapter of The Power of His Might. Please click here to read the introduction and  first three chapters.

Grace operates through Faith – Faith Defined

“For by grace you have been saved through faith…”
(Ephesians 2:8a ESV)

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
(Romans 5:1-2 ESV)

“For we walk by faith, not by sight:”
(2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)

There is much to say about grace operating or working through faith. Indeed, this book is aimed at giving you the basic scriptural understanding of how to walk by faith so that grace might operate in your daily lives that you might be “more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Rom 8:37b)

Site News – New Chapter Added

Greeting everyone!

I have added Chapter 3 of The Power of His Might to the site.

As the first two chapters dealt with the operation of grace through faith as it relates to being born again (salvation), so chapter 3 starts a new portion of the book looking at grace working through faith as it relates to our spiritual walk with Jesus as we follow Him for the rest of our lives.

I pray that you find it encouraging and edifying.

By His Grace,

Marc

For His Name’s Sake – Part Three

“Help us O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name, and deliver us and purge away our sins, for your names sake.” Psalms 79:9

As we continue to walk in the paths of righteousness, hand in hand with Jesus our Shepard, He shows us that He is the God of our salvation and He helps us for the glory of His name.

God is glorified when He helps His children as they walk with Him.

But notice, He delivers us from our sins and He purges away our sins for His name’s sake. These are two different things.

For His Name’s Sake – Part Two

“…he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:3

If I am a follower of Jesus, then He has placed His name upon me, and He desires that I walk in THE paths that properly result in reflecting His character & glory through me as I walk those paths with Him.

He is righteous. He will only walk in righteous paths. He asks us to walk with Him. And so we each must ask ourselves, “Am I on a righteous path with Jesus, or on another path?”

“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil…” Proverbs 16:17

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.” Proverbs 16:6

If we are walking with the Lord, we will be departing from evil. If we say we are a Christian, a follower of Jesus, and continue in the paths of evil, we are deceiving ourselves and bringing shame upon His name.
