Greetings in Jesus name and welcome to Love His Appearing! This is my first blog post and a brief introduction to this site.
Towards the end of his life, the Apostle Paul wrote:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. ” (2 Timothy 4:5)
And to Titus he wrote that we should be:
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (Titus 2:13)
For many followers of Jesus the Messiah these verses automatically take their hearts and minds to the Rapture of the Church, but is that the main event or is Scripture referencing something much larger? What does it mean to love His appearing? How should this inform our lives today?
Psalms 102:16 tells us:
When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
Now that Israel is not only a nation, but a thriving nation, could His appearing be closer that we think?
On this site and with God’s help I hope to write about practical aspects of living your faith here and now, as well as discuss prophecy and looking at it from a perspective that may be new to many of you. Initially, I plan to focus on:
Blog: This will range from short, devotional thoughts to complete Bible studies on a variety of subjects and a variety of God centered topics in between.
The Power of His Might: This is a spiritual self help book of sorts that I am still writing. If you are looking for ways to deepen your understanding of God and His love for you, I pray you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find here.
The Daniel Framework: This end times study has been on my heart since I completed teaching on the book of Daniel over six years ago. At the end of that study we took what we had learned in Daniel and laid the events in the book of Revelation and other places over the top and discovered many things that were surprising and insightful. Many of my viewpoints of end time events and the order of those events were enhanced or changed. I hope the end result may be a small book as well.
Podcast: I want this to be an audio blog as well as a written one. I plan to record everything I write here so you may listen or read or both as you like. It will be on iTunes so you can subscribe. More to come on this later.
